My 2005 Audi 4.2 B6 S4 Quattro started using oil at 41,000kms, the problem was diagnosed at 80,700kms. After my engine was removed Audi denied warranty claiming the car was "out of warranty", and told me I was responsible for re-assembly charges. The car was broken into at the dealer while I waited for Audi’s response, and to that I was told “sorry, but that is not our responsibility”.
